The idea of Khan Academy started long before the company was established. It took careful planning, figuring employees, etc. However, the biggest decision our CEO (Salman Khan) had to make, was forming such to be non-profit. Khan valued the impact he was going to make more than the grand amounts of money he could've made. Khan Academy was built in 2008 to help children struggling with a lack of education all over the world.
